Punk and Circumstance

John Frank needs a date to the prom. Tell your friends and neighbors. No seriously, though, I would actually like to go to this.

Today in Medford I saw this girl who was all punked out and crap, with like all the punk rock patches and crap going on, but then she turned around and she had a very beautiful face. Like, really very beautiful, and it just struck me as odd because most of the punk kids tend to be a little crazy looking, or if they are pretty then they usually ruin it with stupid hair or peircings or something. Anyway, this girl was very pretty. I was pissed because before I could talk to her she was gone. I probably wouldnt have anyway. But I wondered if maybe I could connect with some of those kids better than with my usual acquaintances... too bad that in Roseburg even the 'punks' are ultra-conservative... and they dont know anything about punk rock.

Lately I havent been writing anything really. Theres one thing I am working on which has a lot of potential but it will take awhile.

Sole and Pedestrian of Anticon are playing up in Eugene on Monday night. If it was on a weekend I would go. I keep listening to "Da Baddest Poet" live version bootleg that I have, it would jsut be so incredible to see that live. Those guys have had so much musical and literary influence on my, I cant beleive that I am going to miss them when they are only one hour away.

It sucks that the Pope died. Apparently he was fairly progressive socially and he pushed the church in a more balanced direction. The sad thing is that Theresa Shiavo got more press than this guy. But enough entertainment... you want some real news? Britney Spears is pregnant.

The last few albums on there I dont really recommend, I bought the albums but they suck. Oh also I have heard the new Stephen Malkmus, Four Tet, and Weezer albums, but those all technically come out in May. The Malkmus album is better than any of the ones on this list, and the new Weezer is horrible.

Hey if anybody wants the new Beck CD "Guero" I have an actual copy that I would be glad to give you, just ask. Or if you want any burnt copies of my music just tell me what and i will rip it for you.
